Hampshire & Berkshire 4x4 Response

Join Hampshire & Berkshire 4x4 Response

We are always glad to hear from people who want to train, turn out and support their local community. Here is what the role involves and what we ask of members.

What we look for

Reliability, sound judgement and a safety-first attitude matter more than experience. Off-road driving, local knowledge, mechanical skills or radio experience all help, but we will train you. Members are expected to act professionally and work within the command structure on every task.

Vehicle, training and checks

Drivers need a suitable 4x4 in good order and the confidence to handle it safely in poor conditions. Members complete a DBS check, First Aid training and specialist Traction Assistance training, and work within the charity’s policies and safety procedures.

How to apply

Get in touch and we will talk you through the role, the commitment and the next steps. There is no obligation at that stage. If it suits both sides, we will guide you through membership, checks and training.
