Local emergency services
We add reach, not duplication. When crews need to get to a location that ordinary vehicles cannot reach, or need extra hands on access and vehicle movement, we deploy alongside them under their direction.

Organisations we work with
We are mobilised by organisations, not by the public. Councils, emergency services, care providers and community groups can task us directly when access is the problem. There is no charge for emergency tasking from a partner organisation.
Who calls us, and what for
Local councils and highways teams
Flooding, snow, fallen trees and road closures all create access problems faster than they can be cleared. We help with route control, access to cut-off properties and moving people and equipment past the blockage.
Forestry Commission
Forest tracks and estate roads are where 4x4 capability earns its keep. We support access, recovery of stuck vehicles and movement of equipment across ground that normal vehicles cannot use.
Hospices and care organisations
Care does not stop when the roads do. We move staff to patients and patients to appointments during severe weather, and carry supplies to sites that have become hard to reach.
Community and parish groups
Parish councils, flood wardens and resilience groups know their area before we do. We work to their local plans and turn out for welfare checks, supply runs and access support during local disruption.
Event organisers and public venues
Marshalling, parking and traffic management on sites where mud, fields and volume are the problem. This is booked work, and it is priced, invoiced and funds the charity's emergency capability.
How to engage us

Call or email the duty contact
Tell us the location, the access problem, how many people or vehicles are affected and by when you need us. If you are already on scene, tell us who is in charge there.

We tell you what we can field
We will be straight with you about how many vehicles and responders we can raise and how long they will take to reach you. If the job is not one for us, we will say so rather than turn out and be no use.

We deploy under your control
Our responders work to your tasking and your safety arrangements. We stay in radio contact, we do not self-task, and we stand down when you tell us to.

We debrief and close out
You get a record of what we did and how long we were on task. If the arrangement is going to be a regular one, we will set it up properly in advance rather than improvise each time.
What partners can expect from us
Every responder is DBS checked and First Aid trained, with specialist Traction Assistance training for on-road and off-road recovery. Responders bring their own 4x4 vehicles and equipment.
We work to your command, not alongside it. We are an addition to your capability when ground conditions or blocked routes stop ordinary vehicles, and we are not a replacement for the emergency services.
Why partner tasking is free, and how that is paid for
We do not invoice partner organisations for emergency tasking. That only works because the costs are covered elsewhere.
Responders give their time and their vehicles. Donations and paid event bookings cover the rest: training, insurance, mileage, radios and vehicle running costs. We receive no government funding.
If your organisation also runs public events, booking us for those is a direct way to fund the capability you call on in an emergency.
